The Practice's History

Dr. and Mrs. John F Patt began the Patt Veterinary Hospital in Morysville, PA as a mixed animal practice in 1952.  The hospital was relocated to a rennovated barn in Gilbertsville, PA in 1957.  In 1978, Dr. Deborah S. Patt joined the practice as an associate.  1990 was a busy year, in which Dr. Deborah S. Patt assumed ownership, the practice became 100% small animal, and major rennovations plus computerization were accomplished.  The house call service was added in 1993, when Dr. Russell E. Angstadt joined the practice.  When a fire destroyed the hospital in May of 1997, Dr. John F. Patt officially retired.  For almost two years, the practice was in a modular building while the present facility was constructed.  The new hospital opened its doors on February 1, 1999. Sadly, our founding father passed away in September 2006. Two new veterinarians have joined us, Dr. Lori Ross and Dr. Ellen Singh and another, Dr. Lori Ferdock,  has returned after starting a family.
